Northstars Present Rambow, Melsted With Watches For 100 Games With Team

Two third-year Northstars players were honoured before Saturday’s game against Parkland for reaching the 100-game milestone with the Midget “AAA” club.

Captain Hunter Rambow and goaltender Braedin Melsted were presented with Northstars watches by club president Brad Salamandyk, as is custom for those who reach 100 games played.

Both Rambow and Melsted made the squad for the 2016-2017 season, and have been central to the team since.

Rambow, who hails from The Pas, leads the Northstars as the captain. The 2001-born OCN Blizzard prospect currently has 10 goals and 17 assists for 27 points through 32 games this season.

Melsted has been solid between the pipes for the Northstars since his rookie season, and has been in net for every Nor-Man win this season. The 17-year-old Thompsonite was taken in the sixth round of the 2016 MJHL draft by the Wayway Wolverines.
