The Thompson Sports News

The Midget “AA” Thompson King Miners had more than enough offence to go around this past weekend as they thumped the Norway House North Stars 10-3 and 17-1 over the weekend.

Casper Stoker led the way with 3 goals and 2 assists on Friday, while Jonathan Saunders added a hat trick of his own to go along with an assist.

The Saturday affair saw 11 different King Miners score, including four from Jacob Enns and two apiece from Conroy Halcrow, Kale Mayor and Curtis Shymanski. Saunders added a goal and four assists, as did Stoker.

The King Miners currently sit atop the Nor-Man Midget “AA” Hockey league with a record of 4-0, two points up on the 3-1 Cross Lake Islanders.

The team is next in action on the 17th and 18th in Flin Flon as they take on the Midget “AA” Bombers.
