Bombers Rock Ice Wolves

The Flin Flon Bombers picked up two critical points last night as they destroyed the La Ronge Ice Wolves 6-1.

In the first of the back-to-back home-and-home, the Bombers came to play. Dawson McKenzie potted his fourth of the season 2:28 into the first period, and Flin Flon never looked back. The Bombers would add two more in the opening frame thanks to Nate Hooper and Chrystopher Collin.

The lone Ice Wolves goal came from Zach Bannister, his third of the season, with 1 second left in the first period.

Flin Flon would put another one by Victoria, BC native Merek Pipes in the second thanks to Donavan Houle-Villeneuve. Brandson Hein would net his fourth of the year at the 7:07 mark of the third, before Hooper scored his second of the game to close out the scoring.

The two teams will meet again tonight at the Whitney Forum in Flin Flon. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30pm.
