Norman Northstars Take On Wild

The Norman Northstars have a tough weekend ahead of them with the Winnipeg Wild in town.

 

Game one of the two game set will be played tonight at 7:30pm, with game two going tomorrow at the same time. Both games will be played in the GB Arena, rather than the CA Nesbitt.

 

The Wild (32-3-0-1-1) currently sit second in the Manitoba Midget "AAA" league, two points behind the Brandon "AAA" Wheat Kings. The Wild have a game in hand. Winnipeg is lead up front by Zachary Falck, who currently sits third in league scoring with 62 points (32G, 28A) in 37 games. Both Wild goalies, Miles Minor and Kadin Kilpatrick, are among the league leaders. Minor is second in GAA and third in both save percentage and wins. Kilpatrick is third in the league for GAA.

 

The Northstars (3-33-0-0-1) are still in the league's basement, 11 points back of the Interlake Lightning. The Pas, MB native Hunter Rambow leads the Northstars with 29 points in 36 games, while Flin Flon, MB native Mitchell Reid continues to lead the NorMan squad with 15 goals.

 

The Northstars will be at home for three more series' after this one as the Eastman Selects, Winnipeg Thrashers and Wininpeg Briuns are set to visit Thompson.
