Wild Win in Close Affair

The Norman Wild split the weekend series versus the Central Plains Capitals including winning the last game which was a back and forth affair.

The Wild were up 3-0 before the third period, and then the Capitals threatened the lead when they got within a goal.

Coach Lee Cummings says it's disappointing the team couldn't get the shutout, but close games gain experience that the team can use later in the season.

Cummings also praised goaltender Shayna Moore's performance. She stopped 36 saves in the win and kept shutout going until halfway through the third period.

Along with the strong play by Moore, Kali Cummings scored three goals and had two assists in the win.

The Wild have a two week break until their next games versus the Interlake Lightning.
