Churchill Deal Falls Through

The deal which would have seen OmniTrax sell the Hudson Bay Railway has fallen apart.

The Denver-based corporation says that they have been working with a consortium including northern First Nations for several months on a deal, though selling the railway to the group at this point quote may not be possible.

The release from OmniTrax said that the transactions, which had previously been announced by the federal government, looks to have fallen apart.

The company says that the outcome is unexpected and unfortunate and that they  offer their apologies to all who depend on the line.

OmniTrax recently received an order from the Canadian Transportation Agency to repair the line, though no action has been taken as of yet.
