Two teenagers are facing drug-related charges following a drug bust earlier this week

Early Wednesday evening, Thompson RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence located on Rainbow Crescent in the community.

Police located and seized approximately nine ounces of cocaine, various drug paraphernalia items and a small quantity of Canadian currency.

Police arrested two males at the scene, a 19-year-old and 16-year-old youth who are both from Thompson, and later released them on court imposed conditions for a January court date in Thompson.

They will face charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking and trafficking in a controlled substance.

The investigation is ongoing.
