The City Centre Mall will be welcoming in a new resident as the Great Canadian Dollar Store had its grand opening on Friday.

Property Manager of the City Centre Mall Keith McDonald says the Mall is still in good health and that perception makes it look emptier than it is.

McDonald says the mall gets a lot of inquiries of residence around the Christmas season, but he doesn't want satellite stores out of respect of the current tenants.

McDonald does say the tenants have been satisfied with their stay and no one plans on moving out of the Centre.
