The RCMP Division Action Response Team was deployed in two communities to target gun violence and drug trafficking.
In the communities of Grand Rapids and Chemawawin, consent search of residences were completed.
As a result of the search police located and seized cocaine, marijuana, hash oil, trafficking paraphernalia, Canadian currency, cell phones and a stolen firearm.
As a result seven people were arrested and charged.
Seventeen police officers from the Grand Rapids Detachment, Chemawawin Detachment, Emergency Response Team, Integrated Gang Intelligence Unit, The Pas Police Dog Service, and the North District Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team took part in the initiative.
