E-Waste Ends at the End of October

Your time to get rid of your old electronic equipments is down to the last few weekends at the city landfill.

Public Works E-Waste is a program at the landfill that takes place during the summer where residents are encouraged to bring their old electronic equipment to throw away in a responsible matter.

Microwave ovens, stereos, phones and radios are just a few of the things that can be brought down. Washers and dryers are the exceptions, as they fall under the category of scrap medal.

Director of Public Works Wayne Koversky says that the might do something different for next year in order to have enough days for the public to throw out old electronics.
