Small Turnout for Democratic Reform Town Hall

It was a small crowd, but an opinionated one at the Democratic Reform Town Hall last weekend.

MP of Churchill-Keewatinook Aski Niki Ashton led the meeting in hopes of consultation for a change on how Canadians elect politicians.

A few ideas were brought forward by the audience, with both sides of the issue expressed says Ashton.

The meetings were held all across the nation with a difference of participation in each region. The one that took place in Thompson had little outside participation but still received some informative responses from the individuals that did come out, says Ashton.

When asked if there would be another Town Hall involving the subject, Ashton says she doesn't think there will be one and that any suggestions can be forwarded to her through her office.
