Search Still Ongoing for Christine Wood

The Winnipeg Police and the family of Christine Wood have made another plea to the public for information in the case of the missing 21-year-old.

The family says the amount of tips on her disappearance is drying up. Police were joined by Wood's mother and father, Melinda and George Wood, at a news conference Wednesday morning. They had little new information, but used the opportunity to ask everyone to keep an eye out for Wood and to contact authorities if they have any new information.

Wood disappeared August 19 while visiting Winnipeg with her parents from Oxford House First Nation. Although sightings of Wood have been reported, none have been confirmed.

A news release issued by police on Wednesday said Wood "is facing some personal challenges in her life causing ongoing concern for her well-being."
