As much as 25 people were on hand to march throughout the city of Thompson on Saturday to conclude Pride Week in the city.

Pride Week was declared last Monday by Mayor Dennis Fenske along with MP Keewatinook-Aski Niki Ashton.

Ashton made a return for the march and even spoke at the event saying that more political leaders should make appearances for Pride activities across the province and country.

Local bands played music at McLean Park later on during the afternoon to continue the activities and a social took place at the Legion later on in the night.

This was the first ever Pride March that took place in the City of Thompson, although a few activity-filled days have taken place.
