With the dispute between Visa and Wal-Mart and the announcement that all Manitoba stores will not be taking VISA, it will obviously affect the box store in Thompson.

After the month of October, Wal-Mart will stop accepting Visa cards and says that all other credit cards will still be accepted. Among the other cards, will be American Express, MasterCard and Discover.

The dispute was created when Wal-Mart said it pays up to $100 million for annual credit-card fees.

The first three stores stopped the service in Thunder Bay; all 16 Wal-Marts in Manitoba will stop the service at the end of October.
