It only comes once a year, at that day will be this Saturday for the Household Hazardous Waste Day.

Down at the City Hall from 10AM to 2PM will be the once a year day to get rid of hazardous supplies which should not be thrown out with normal garbage.

Billy Joe Thompson who is the manager at the Thompson Recycling Centre says that this day does some good for the community and the environment.

She said that the Recycling Centre has been in discussions with the province, in hoping they could find a better solution instead of a once a year plan.

Until then, Thompson says that the Household Hazardous Waste Pickup is the only way to get rid of the hazardous waste the proper way.

One of the things thrown at the most that should be brought to the Hazardous Waste pickup is paint. It is commonly picked out of recycling bins on garbage days.
