Thompson RCMP were out this past long weekend patrolling the roads.
Between May 15 and May 17, 54 motorists were caught speeding in the City. Other charges laid over the 3 day period include 2 for impaired driving by alcohol, 5 for impaired driving by drugs, 3 for distracted driving with an electronic device, and 3 of failure to wear a seatbelt.
The initiative was part of the recent Road Watch Week and national impaired enforcement day.
