Mayor Dennis Fenske was joined by MP Shelly Glover and MLA Steve Ashton for an announcement last week.

Here is MP Shelly Glover: "It is my great pleasure that the city of Thompson is going to receive a maximum of $12.166 million under the new building Canada fund for their new wastewater treatment plant".

MLA Steve Ashton announced the province would also be contributing another $12 million.

The new facility will be replacing the one built in the early 60’s and is expected to be built by June 2018.
