Looks like second time’s a charm for Vale.  

For the second year in a row the Thompson Mine was nominated for the community engagement award, and this year they won.

Ryan Land with Vale has more: "The Mining Association of Canada awards a community engagement award for a project, and the project that we won for was the TEDWG process, the Thompson economic diversification working group process".

The mine also received the John T. Ryan Award for being the safest mine in the Northwest Territories and Prairies region.
