Thompson RCMP are investigating after a local shop was broken into over the weekend.
Sergeant Kevin Lewis says sometime during Saturday night or early Sunday morning, a rock was smashed through the window of Beastly Boutique. An RCMP member noticed the broken window while on patrol, and started the investigation.
According to the pet store’s facebook page, money they had been fundraising for a rescue dog’s hip surgery was stolen, along with money for vet bills and a laptop.
The investigation is ongoing.
