The Canadian Federation of Independent Business isn’t happy with the provincial budget put forward last week.
Elliot Sims, CFIB’s Manitoba Director of Provincial Affairs tells us why:
"It’s a broken promises budget that does little to address the priorities of entrepreneurs and that’s unfortunate because 98% of Manitoba companies are small businesses. If you want to encourage them to expand their businesses and create jobs you have to have a budget that responds to their priorities and this one didn’t do it".
Some areas of concern include a budget that isn’t balanced, the small business corporate income tax, and the Manitoba payroll tax.
