An unprecedented decision by the Manitoba Metis Federation was made last week.
The MMF will now allow Manitoba Metis Community Citizens living outside of Manitoba to apply for citizenship with the Federation. The decision was made last week after an overwhelming pass.
President David Chartrand says now no matter where their Citizens live their right to join the MMF will be honoured.
