Drop off your Halloween style blackout poetry at the Thompson Public Library during October to have it displayed.
Pick up a bookmark template to enter the kids bookmark design contest at the Thompson Public Library between October 1-29. Grades K-8 can enter.
Visit the CWL Christmas Craft Fair on November 17 from 10-3 at the St. Lawrence Hall on Cree Road.
National Indigenous Peoples Day

This year in Thompson, First Nations, Inuit and Métis people from our region will gather at MacLean Park on June 21st to celebrate with traditional dancing, songs, art and food.  

It is a fun-filled day for the whole family to enjoy together and is also an opportunity to learn more about Indigenous people and their contributions to Canada and to have all share in their celebrations.

The MKO National Indigenous Peoples Day Planning committee is once again preparing to bring the celebrations alive in our community with the following;

* Sunrise Pipe Ceremony
* Free Pancake & Sausage Brunch
* Free Community Fish Fry
* Free Hot Dogs
* Children's Activities
* Local Youth Drum Group
* Indigenous Dancers/Performers/Music/Entertainers
* Story Tellers/Oral History/Funny Indigenous Tales

The MKO National Indigenous Day committee has sent out nominations for the 2018 National Indigenous Day Soaring Eagle Awards  to the School District of Mystery Lake. 

This is to recognize the achievements of youth (Elementary K - 8) & (High school 9 - 12) who exhibit character, commitment, competence or confidence in their activities that impact the Indigenous community and the community of Thompson.
