Calling all Thompson men and boys to show their soppert in eliminating violence against women and girls in the north! Put on her red shoes and walk a mile with the YWCA this October 3rd! All proceeds from the event support the YWCA Thompson programs and services

 

There will be a Community BBQ starting at 2pm and the walk will take place at 4:30.

 

How to Get Walking:
 

• Pre-register by calling 204-778-1209 or grab a form at one of these following locations: YWCA Thompson, ywcathompson.com, ywcawcoffice@mymts.net, Crazy Pete's, Doug's Source for Sports, McMunn and Yates, Thompson Ford or City Hall. Return the form to the YWCA reception.

 

• Get an optional pledge sheet and schedule your shoe fitting up to a men's size 14.

 

• Seek support and collec pledges.

 

• Submit your pledge sheet on October 3rd by 4pm to the YWCA

Come over to the YWCA for their Steps to Success Program! They are offering a variety of Essential Skills training courses throughout the month of October. If you are interested, call 204-677-5016 or drop in and visit the good folks in the basement of the YWCA for more information.

 

Come by October 1st to 5th between 6pm and 8pm for their Basic Computer courses.
